Celebrating Robin and Maurice Gibb

Today (December 22nd) would have been the sixty-third birthday of brothers Robin and Maurice Gibb. Born thirty five minutes apart (Robin being the older of the twins), the two along with their older brother Barry would go on to make music for four decades as the Bee Gees.

Maurice passed away on January 3rd, 2003, from a heart attack. Robin passed away earlier this year on May 20th from liver and kidney failure after a long bout with colon cancer.

Their music has always been a favorite of mine and will continue to be for decades to come. On this final Seventies Saturday of the year, I wanted to point readers back to a number of albums with which the two had great success - as singers and songwriters.

From 1975, we have Main Course (click here).

From 1977, we have Samantha Sang's album Emotion (click here).

Also from 1977, we have the soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever (click here).

From 1978, we have the film they both starred in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (click here).

Also from 1978, they helped their youngest brother Andy on his second album Shadow Dancing (click here).

From 1983, we have the soundtrack for Staying Alive (click here).
