So earlier today I blogged about the final episode of Survivor South Pacific (click here for that post). It has been an interesting season to see how it would all play out.

Now, we move on the live reunion show where, among other things, we get to see how well folks clean up.

Survivor South Pacific (ep. 15 - Finale)

Here we are, the finale episode of Survivor South Pacific. This one is called "Loyalties Will Be Broken" and boy is that an understatement. We go into this episode with Ozzy and Brandon on Redemption Island, the winner of the duel getting back in the game to play against Rick, Albert, Coach and Sophie. From there, two more Immunity Challenges and one winner. Let the fun begin!

Episode 14 of Survivor South Pacific is called "Then There Were Five" as things get tough now that the day-one alliance has to turn on one another. Oh, and we have a Redemption Island duel between Ozzy and Edna.

Episode 13 of Survivor South Pacific is called "Ticking Time Bomb", and indeed I could hear the sounds of each tick getting louder and louder. The Upolu tribe is about to implode, but not before we get to a duel at Redemption Island first.

Counting last week's previously not shown scenes episode, that puts us at episode 12 entitled "Cult Like". We get another three way duel at Redemption Island and the final seven in the merged tribe trying to determine where do they go now that the Savaii are all out of the way.

Week ten of the new season of Survivor was titled "Running the Show" and clearly there was some stand out performances in the game. Who is actually in charge and does someone try to take that power?

Week nine of the new season of Survivor was titled "Cut Throat" and indeed the game has gotten that way. A big episode with lots of emotion and a double-elimination. Now that's how I like my reality competitions.

TV: Survivor South Pacific (ep. 8)

Week eight of the new season of Survivor was titled "Double Agent". Last week Ozzy and Savaii put a plan in place to upset the game. Ozzy gave Cochran his hidden immunity idol and had his tribe send him to Redemption Island. The idea was he would go and beat Christine, leaving the tribes equal at the upcoming merge. They would say Cochran betrayed them, allowing him to infilitrate Upolu as a double agent. Did that plan play out?

Thursday night was plopped in front of the TV to enjoy some cupcakes for my wife's birthday and watch some comedies.

The third week of TV is upon us. Once more my Monday night tuning is set to CBS for four half hour sitcoms. Starting the week off with some laughs is always good. Here are my impressions of this week's shows (warning: there will be plot *spoilers* - proceed with caution).

TV: Monday CBS Comedies (9/26/11)

The second week of TV is upon us and Monday night I am firmly parked over on CBS. Here are my impressions of this week's shows (warning: there will be plot *spoilers* - proceed with caution).

CBS Should Walk The Plank

Aaaaargh! First FOX did it with Drive, and now CBS has gone and pulled Pirate Master before its run finished. Yes, they are going to offer the last five episodes on their website, but come on! This was a summer reality show - it isn't supposed to to great in ratings. And, sure, it was Mark Burnett taking his Survivor formula and trying to map it to a buccanneer theme in hopes of cashing in on the Pirates of the Caribbean bandwagon but still. The contestants were okay - a few you'd love, a few you'd hate and a few you'd go "who is that again?". The challenges were a bit repetitive (row the boat, run into the jungle, find this item, run into the jungle again, find that item, run some more and dig) and the rules regarding eviction in Pirates' Court were sometimes confusing (just how does the mutiny work again?) but still. It was a mindless reality show. Do the few fans it had a favor and let it run it's course.

Well, I refuse to waste my time trying to watch it off the website. That should be used only if one missed a show - like if the power was out and the DVR didn't record it. That shouldn't be the only way to catch it. If that's the way CBS wants to play, fine. No more taking risks on new shows on their network for me. I'll stick to my Monday comedies and that's it.
