Today (May 15th) marks the thirty-fifth anniversary of the release of There Goes The Neighborhood, the fifth solo studio album from Joe Walsh. This 1981 release spent eighteen weeks on the US Billboard Album chart, peaking at number 20.

I consider myself a fan but Walsh has never made a consistent album - he seems to pride himself as being consistently inconsistent. Still, there are usually one to three gems to be found on each of his records and for me "A Life Of Illusion" is the gem of There Goes The Nighborhood. Love the little mariachi touches.
