REO Speedwagon - Hi Infidelity (35th anniversary)

Tomorrow (November 21st) marks the thirty-fifth anniversary of Hi Infidelity, the ninth studio album from REO Speedwagon. This record was hugely popular as the 80's began, hitting number 1 on the US Billboard Album chart (a spot it held for fifteen weeks) and spending a total of one-hundred and one weeks on the chart as well.

Liked it then, like it now. And I meant every word that I said.

Missing Gary Richarth all over again, though. Man he had some sweet solos on this one.

Witnessed him and them live on tour for Wheels Are Turning album and it was one of the greatest shows I have ever witnessed - a perfect blend of rockers and ballads - so great that I have resisted the urge to see the band in all of its various incarnations ever since. By my count, REO Speedwagon have come to town a dozen times in the past 30 years.
