Book Review: Pressed Pennies

As teenagers, Rick and Abby grew up as friends and eventually fell in love. Yet, fate caused their paths to part. Both eventually married others, but neither of those relationships worked out. Years later, the two are re-united but one thing stands in the way of their happiness - Abby's nine year old daughter Paige. Can Rick win over the young girl's heart as he has that of her mother?

Pressed Pennies is the latest novel from Steven Manchester. It is a flowing romance novel that has a good cast and a lot of heart. The dialogue and the characterizations are natural and real. As a amateur writer myself, I particularly enjoyed how Manchester splits the narrative across the early chapters as we are introduced to the main cast and see how the two former lovers are brought back together.

Pressed Pennies will be available at all the usual book outlets (brick-and-mortar stores and online retailers) as of May 13th, 2014.
