This month marks the thirty fifth anniversary of After Dark, the third and final studio album from Andy Gibb. This 1980 release reached number 67 on the US Billboard R&B chart, number 65 in Australia, number 24 in Canada, number 23 in Sweden, and number 21 in Norway and on the US Billboard Album chart. It spent a total of fifteen weeks on the US Billboard Album chart. Older brother Barry assisted on the record by penning all of the songs.

The Psychedelic Furs - The Psychedelic Furs (35th anniversary)
Today (February 27th) marks the thirty fifty anniversary of the self-titled debut album from The Psychedelic Furs. This 1980 record performed fairly well, reaching number 18 on the native UK charts; in the US the record spent seven weeks on the Billboard Album chart and made it to number 140.

'Til Tuesday - Voices Carry
Today (February 26th) marks the thirtieth anniversary of Voices Carry, the debut album from the Boston-based band 'Til Tuesday. This 1985 record reached number 19 on the US Billboard Album chart, with a thirty-one week total run. The original line-up of the band included Aimee Mann (vocals and bass as well as lyricist on all the songs on the debut), Robert Holmes (guitar and backing vocals), Joey Pesce (keyboards and backing vocals), and Michael Hausman (drums and percussion).

Tears For Fears - Songs From the Big Chair (30th anniversary)
Thirty years ago today (February 25th) the synth-pop due Tears For Fears released their second and highest album to date - Songs From the Big Chair. The album peaked at number 2 in their native UK and number 1 for five out of eighty-three weeks total on the US Billboard Album chart.

Orchestral Manouvres in the Dark - Orchestral Manouvres in the Dark (35th anniversary)
Today (February 22nd) marks the thirty fifth anniversary of the self-titled debut album Orchestral Manoeuvres In the Dark. In 1980,it peaked on the UK charts at number 27. The record was slightly retooled for the 1981 US release under the same name - compiling tracks from both this record and the band’s second UK release Organisation.

Today (February 21st) marks the thirtieth anniversary of King of Rock, the second studio album from Run-D.M.C. This 1980 release spent fifty-six weeks on the US Billboard Album chart, peaking at number 52. It also went to number 12 on the US Billboard R&B chart.
