Today (April 26th) is a milestone day in comedy. Thirty years ago marked the release of the debut album from "Weird Al" Yankovic. Armed with an accordion and a sense of wordplay, he totally reinvented the genre of music parodies for a whole new generation.

I bought this one after hearing "My Bologna" and "Another Rides The Bus" on a local radio station late one night. As the album came out around my REDACTED birthday, I had wads of cash to throw around. Have seen Al 3 three times in concert now, always appreciated the tightness of the band and the clean sound of the records that followed this one, as it was a little rough. Watched Behind The Music featuring Yankovic recently and it shed new light on the man and his music. Curious how many of his parodies have never been released, though. Does he have a Prince-like vault of them?
