This 1980 record made it to number 10 on Billboard Album chart(with a twenty-nine week total time on that chart) and number 1 on the US R&B album charts; in the UK it went to number 13. World-wide it sold 1.9 million copies and generated five singles.

Triumph - Thunder Seven
Today (November 10th) marks the thirtieth anniversary of Thunder Seven, the seventh studio album from Canada’s own Triumph. The Platinum seller spent thirty weeks on the US Billboard Album chart, peaking at number 35. It also went to number 43 in both Canada and Sweden.

Triumph - Never Surrender
Today (January 28th) marks the thirtieth anniversary of the release of Never Surrender, the sixth studio album from the Canadian rock band Triumph (guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Rik Emmett, bassist/keyboardist Michael Levine, and drummer/vocalist Gil Moore). The album was certified as Gold in both Canada (where it charted at number 29) and the US (where it charted at number 26 on the US Billboard Hot 200).

Remembering Michael Jackson

Today (August 29th) would have been the 54th birthday of the late Michael Jackson. His considered by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful entertainer of all time. He got his start as a performer in the late 1960's as part of a singing group with his older brothers in Gary, Indiana. Once the brothers were signed to the Motown Record label, their careers skyrocketed.
Whether you are a devout fan or thought his personal life was a bit on the crazy side, there is no denying the music he made over the years will be remembered for decades to come.
