I have always been and always will be a fan of disco music. Something about the dance beats I find irresistible. So, this one called to me like a siren to check out.
Most of the book focuses on the 70's which is where my mind goes when I think of disco. It has a very coffee-table feel to it, balancing informative text with tons of fantastic photos through out. Along with career retrospectives, each chapter also highlights the artists' albums and singles along with a focus on their most identifiable song.
For a quicker introduction to ten iconic musical acts, this one delivers the goods.
