the Police - Outlandos d'Amour (35th anniversary)
Today (November 2nd) marks the thirty-fifth anniversary of the release of Outlandos d'Amour, the debut studio album from the UK trio known as the Police.
You can click here to read my complete review of this career starting album.
Definitely the least listened to Police album in the collection, I dug this one out last week after watching CBGB.
Liked this album better than that movie. Such a great story deserved better. (Am even holding off listening to the soundtrack for fear they effed that up, too. Anything less than a triple CD is bound to dissappoint Hoping to feature it soon on the Friday Film Fest.)
Just read that Sting is heading out on tour with Paul Simon - you gonna try to catch that one?
I have not seen that film - sounds like I should skip it. As for Sting and Paul Simon in concert, not sure I will catch that. We have not gone to many concerts in the past ten to fifteen years. Maybe that will change now that we're empty-nesters.
