Welcome to another edition of Soundtrack Saturday.
This summer marks the thirtieth anniversary of the release of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and this month marks the thirtieth anniversary of the soundtrack album featuring music by Tina Turner (who also starred in the film along with Mel Gibson).
Given that Mad Max is returning again to theatres, it is fitting we take a look back at this record. For my full review, click here.
This is a blog about recreational hobbies that I am interested in (music, TV, movies, books). I also talk about what's on my mind or things that happen in life around me. Please feel free to post comments; I want this to be an interactive dialogue. If you like what you read, please share it with your friends. Thanks.

Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (soundtrack)
Welcome to another edition of Soundtrack Sunday, and a very happy seventy-second birthday today (November 27th) to the legendary Tina Turner.
In the summer of 1985, Turner starred along with Mel Gibson in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, the third film in the post-apocalyptic sci-fi series (the first film being Mad Max in 1979 which helped make the then-little-known Gibson an international star and Mad Max 2: the Road Warrior in 1981). Turner’s role in the film is Aunty Entity, the ruthless ruler of Bartertown.
