Following her 1983 solo debut Out for Blood (click here for that review), Lita Ford returned to the studio to make Dancin’ on the Edge. This 1984 release spent sixteen weeks on the US Billboard Album chart, peaking at number 66. It also hit number 96 in the UK.

Lita Ford - Out for Blood
By the time guitarist/singer Lita Ford made her solo debut in 1983 with Out for Blood, she was already a seasoned veteran in the rock business. At age 16, in 1975, she was one of the members of the all-female rock band the Runaways (along with Joan Jett and others).
Today, to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary, we will give this album a listen. Joining her on the record were Neil Merryweather (bass and vocals as well as co-writer on many of the tracks), and Dusty Watson (drums and backing vocals).

Twisted Sister - A Twisted Christmas
I decided to take a break from Soundtrack Sunday for a few weeks so that I could present some more holiday albums for the season.
In 2006, Dee Snider and his fellow band mates of Twisted Sister decided to put out a CD of holiday songs entitled A Twisted Christmas. Given the band's musical slant, the album, of course, delivers holiday standards in a heavy metal style. The album sold very well commercially, reaching number 147 on the US Billboard Hot 200 and number 27 on the Billboard Holiday charts.
