Today (March 23rd) marks the thirtieth anniversary of Dream Into Action, the second studio album from Howard Jones. This 1985 release went to number 20 in Germany, number 19 in Switzerland, number 2 in the UK and number 1 in Sweden. Here in the US, it spent forty-five weeks on the Billboard Album charts with a peak spot of 10.

Chris de Burgh - Man on the Line
This week (May 9th) marks the thirtieth anniversary of Man on the Line, the seventh studio album from Chris de Burgh. Following his 1982 release The Getaway (click here for that review), this 1984 release spent nineteen weeks on the US Billboard Album chart, peaking at number 69. It also went to number 11 in the UK, and number 1 in both Germany and Switzerland.

Howard Jones - Human's Lib (30th anniversary)
Today (March 17th) marks the thirtieth anniversary of the UK release of Human's Lib, the debut album from Howard Jones. The US release would come later on June 12th of 1984.

Howard Jones - Human's Lib
Happy fifty-seventh birthday today (February 23rd, which also happens to be my birthday) to British musician, singer-songwriter Howard Jones.
On March 17th of 1984, Jones released his first studio album Human’s Lib, a record that debuted at the number 1 spot on the UK album charts and spent a total of fifty-seven weeks on the charts. It went to number 8 in Germany and number 5 in Sweden; in the US it got as high as number 59 on the Billboard Hot 200 album chart. He was involved with the composition of all of the tracks and played all keyboards and synthesizers. Davey Payne provided the saxophone on the album.
