Lita Ford - Dancin' on the Edge

Following her 1983 solo debut Out for Blood (click here for that review), Lita Ford returned to the studio to make Dancin’ on the Edge. This 1984 release spent sixteen weeks on the US Billboard Album chart, peaking at number 66. It also hit number 96 in the UK.

Blue Öyster Cult - The Revölution By Night

Hailing from Long Island, New York, Blue Öyster Cult had a strong run during the 1970’s. By 1983, though, the albums were more spaced out with the sound of the band changing for the times. This month marks the thirtieth anniversary of The Revölution By Night, their ninth studio album. It charted at number 95 in the UK and number 93 on the US Billboard Album chart back in 1983.

Aldo Nova - Subject: Aldo Nova

Following his self-titled 1982 debut Aldo Nova (click here for that review), the Canadian rocker returned in 1983 with Subject: Aldo Nova. This one peaked at number 56 on the US Billboard Album chart. Today, we give this one a listen to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary this month.

Michael Bolton - Michael Bolton

This month marks the thirtieth anniversary of the release of the self-titled studio album Michael Bolton. This Gold selling record, which peaked at number 89 on the US Billboard Hot 200, was the third studio album from the American singer. His first two, Michael Bolotin from 1975 and Everyday of My Life from 1976, were recorded under his birth name and garnered very little chart action.

Aldo Nova - Aldo Nova

This month marks the 30th anniversary release of the self-titled debut album from the Canadian rock musician Aldo Nova. This Quebec native produced the release as well as sang, and played guitars, keyboards and synthesizers.

Aldo Nova went to number 8 on the US Billboard Hot 200; it was certified Gold within a month of its release. It took a number of years after that for it to achieve Platinum sales though.
