Marvel Comics: A Manga Tribute explores Marvel’s rich and enduring legacy as a pop-culture phenomenon by paying homage to its most iconic characters and beloved stories. The book features a range of unique artwork, collected for the first time, celebrating characters from across the multiverse. A must-have for fans of Marvel Comics and Japanese art alike!

This collection will be released on July 18, 2023. VIZ Media provided an early galley for review.

Having stepped away from the purchasing of monthly titles from the comic shop over a decade ago, I do not get to see much of the variant covers that show up more and more on comics. So, a lot of the artwork in this particular book was absolutely brand-new to me. The book is organized in four categories: Avengers, Spider-Man, X-Men, and then the rest of the Marvel Universe.

It was very cool to see these variant cover images from Marvel books done is the many styles of manga. Many are pin-up style and not dependent of the book's storyline. Some are in a very playful style while others are super-polished and poster-worthy. All of them are incredibly detailed and just fun to look at.
