Coming after The Lexicon Of Love which is about as close to perfect as a pop album can be, I was all kinds of disappointed with this one when I got it home took the shrinkwrap off and fed it into the linear tracking turntable. Listened to it once and then shelved it for mor ethan a decade before listening to it again.

It's such a radical departure from the previous record and an obvious testimonial to the power of producer Trevor Horn, whose services were not retained on this one. Instead, his assistant Gary Langan took the seat behind the baord but obviously yeilded to the whims of Martin Fry and company.

It gets a few more plays these days but that is not saying a lot when it used to get zero.
