Happy Birthday, Dale Bozzio

Happy fifty-seventh birthday today (March 2nd) to singer Dale Bozzio.

Born in Medford, Massachusetts, Dale Frances Consalvi had aspirations to be an actress. However, she switched gears when she stared working at the Playboy Club in Boston (where she was named Bunny of the Year in 1975). She was invited to Los Angeles at the request of Hugh Hefner which allowed her to expand her circle of contacts.

In 1979, she was hired to sing in Frank Zappa's rock opera Joe's Garage. It was through that she met future husband Terry Bozzio and guitarist Warren Cuccurullo. The trio founded the band Missing Persons.


After the original band broke up, she did a solo album in 1988 on Prince's Paisley Park label. Today she continues to tour under name of "Missing Persons featuring Dale Bozzio".
