This week (April 30th) marks the thirtieth anniversary of The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking, the first solo studio album from Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters. The album went to number 14 in New Zealand, number 13 in the UK, number 12 in Switzerland, number 4 in Norway, and number 3 in Sweden. Here in the US it spent eighteen weeks on the Billboard Album chart where it peaked at number 31.

Elton John - Too Low For Zero
This month we celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of Too Low For Zero, the seventeenth studio album from rock legend Elton John. This multi-Platinum seller reached number 71 in Japan, number 30 in Sweden, number 28 in the Netherlands, number 25 on the US Billboard Hot 200, number 17 in Canada, number 11 in France, number 7 in the UK, number 6 in Norway and Switzerland, number 5 in Germany, and number 2 down-under in Australia and New Zealand.

Pink Floyd - The Final Cut
Today (March 21st) marks the thirtieth anniversary of the UK release of The Final Cut, the twelfth studio album from English progressive-rockers Pink Floyd. The US release of the album would come within two weeks on April 2nd of 1983. The record charted very well - number 6 on the US Billboard Hot 200, number 3 in Australia and New Zealand, and number 1 in France, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.
